Chicago native Ariel Diane King is an actress and model who was crowned Queen of the Universe 2014 while proudly holding the title of Miss USA.
At a young age Ariel joined her parents on mission work in downtown Chicago on Lower Wacker Drive to share the gospel, hygiene products and home-cooked food to local homeless families. This moment in her life inspired her to set higher goals to build a stronger personal foundation to continue helping those in need.
One of her goals was to become involved in the entertainment business. After being awarded the J. Albert Kindig Memorial Scholarship she found encouragement to push further, and Ariel then became the first to win the Hollywood Discovery Award at the Hollywood Film Festival Awards Gala. Recently she has worked as a print model with Forbes Fortune 500 companies, and won the role of O.J. Simpson’s daughter Arnelle in the popular miniseries “American Crime Story.”
As Queen of the Universe, she continued her mission work collecting and distributing clothes on Skid Row as well as working with Hiccups Pizza Project, a group that feeds and provides help to families and individuals suffering from poverty in Downtown Los Angeles. During the holidays Ariel joined Kimberly Moore’s “Adopt-a-Letter” Foundation in fund-raising, and collecting notes to Santa Claus to surprise children from families in need with holiday gifts. Ariel regards this as one of the greatest joys of her reign, along with entertaining children at the Gramercy Housing Program and playing games and sharing smiles with the Children of the Night residents.
