Vivacious, charming and sexy are just a few words that describe the beautiful Ivette Saucedo. Ivette Concepcion Saucedo, of Mexican and Spanish descent, represented Spain in the Queen of the Universe Pageant and was crowned as Queen of the Universe 2013. She is a fashion connoisseur, planning on opening her own clothing store while continuing her current efforts in multiple international charities and advancing the mission of UNESCO in bringing peace and cohesiveness to the world.
Since her youth, Ivette has followed multiple pursuits with equal passion. At the age of 13, she was featured in a Hawaiian Punch TV commercial, and went on to perform in music videos for Redman, Dr. Dre, and Toni Braxton. In college she studied nursing, and has worked as a medical assistant for several years. And from her formative years to adulthood she has worked as a professional model, doing print and television work, including Beige TV, Turbo Cat Shoes and layouts for Seventeen and Teen Magazine.
Ivette is a professional and competitive horse rider in an equestrian drill team which has won many awards and has traveled throughout the United States and internationally performing the traditional art of Escaramuza. She has competed in hundreds of events and was the first and only crowned Reina to represent the United States in the Escaramuza de Reinas for four years.
As a career model, she has worked with IT Models, Next Models and Wilhelmina, and has traveled to Mexico and Japan. With a love of fashion, for seven years running Ivette has designed the outfits for her equestrian team as well as four other teams. She also creates fashion accessories, designs jewelry and is a makeup artist. As a performer, she is soon to carry a supporting role in an independent film, Paper Boat. Ivette also has her business side, holding a real estate license and four years' experience as an agent.
Her diverse pursuits also inform her philanthropic side. Passionate about helping others, she works with a group of medical professionals who help disadvantaged and orphaned children with medical needs. She works with a charity called My Sister's Closet, which provides clothing to homeless and financially struggling teens. And, with a group of animal-loving friends she formed "Casey's Rescue," named for her father, which rescues and finds new homes for abandoned pets.
Ivette's hobbies include yoga, kickboxing, hiking, weight training, baking and writing. Describing herself as tenacious and fearless, she is not only a dreamer, but a doer, with a focused intent to help those in need, especially children, and to make a difference in the world. As the reigning titleholder of Queen of the Universe, she relishes the opportunity this provides her to expand her philanthropic reach and to serve as a shining role model to others.
